internet speed increase

yeh, for example when your are downloding things and surfing websites, some programs look ahead what you are surfing and download it to the cache, but then your download speed suffers.
 
Any software that "increases" your speed wont do much since the limitation is hardware based.... (i.e., your modem and line)
 
well i use cable nut and it workes great for me (260k to 313k) i was just trying to find out if there were better programs, but Praetor must be right, thanks anyways.
 
well i dont use anything cause i have tried in the past but nothing. But twice this happened with me when i was at my university downloading, since the leabnese server is there, so the download speed reached 750k/sec.
