TWEAKS

1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally Firefox will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. Just like the concept of internet download manager which offer faster file download speed.

2. Change the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

Another good extension, subscribe to the USA one, I can't remember, set up is easy. ^

cant say it much better than ETSA has there, FF is by far the best and easiest browser that ivecome across to modify and tweak. I recommend it over IE anyday. draon

ok, i did a couple tweaks, i came acrossed 1 that keeps your connection open in dial-up, is there 1 with DSL? or will that tweak work with DSL also?

DSL and Dial up are very different, I saw some tweks for DSL in there, I have cable so I don't know any off hand.
