You could be infected. Do this.

Open internet explorer, go to tools, internet options. click on the connections tab, click on the lan settings button, Make sure the boxes under proxy settings are unchecked. If they are checked let me know and we'll run some malware programs.

Im using wifi.

That doesn't answer his question.

But since you said that I'll ask my own. Is it connected? Did you have to put in a network key to join? If so, delete the saved network, reconnect, and put the key in again EXACTLY as it should be. A lot of the time they're case sensitive.

This might sound silly but who is your internet service provider? I have this problem a lot, I have Wild Blue (Yes, all of you laugh! This is all that is available where I live... I hate myself trust me!) All I need to do is plug out the router, let start up again, and I will be connected again.

Have you tried typing any urls into the address bar (eg www.google.com) or clicking any of the links that come pre-installed? Your problem description was quite brief and those symptoms would occur if the homepage was no longer available or on a very slow server.

If the above does not work try putting 209.85.225.104 in the address bar (which is also Google).
