I hate coming here for help. I really do, because.. I wish my computer would always be 100% good..

Just now, as I unplugged my camera some thing came up DEMANDING I put a CD in, I clicked CANCEL and it just wouldn't go away. So I rebooted. Twice.
Once to get rid of that CD pop up.
Second because it was being a laggy jerk.

Both time...

"Invalid Boot INE ...
Booting from c:/Windows"

Something along those lines. I never got it all written down before it switched screens.

I'm worried. ._.

I never know where to post these things.. blah.

First things first would be a need to close the program prior to unplugging the camera there. Apparently that was still being accessed by a running probram when you unplugged it before closing that out completely. If you hard booted with the reset button and not the normal shutdown to restart method you would usually see the F8 boot menu appear to start Windows normally, last known that worked, or safe mode as a thoought there.

With the msconfig utility you can prevent the offending program from automatically loading up along with Windows using the msconfig utility and simply unchecking the item in the Startup group there. Type msconfig at the Run prompt and hit enter to see that come up. Restarting affterwards puts any changes inot effect.

Before restarting the system however one more thing is needed at the Run prompt namely the command to see the check disk tool run on the next system startup or loading of Windows following a reboot. Simply type chkdsk /f in at the Run prompt and retsart the system to be prompted if you want to cancel that by pressing any key within so many seconds. The idea however is to have that fix any errors it finds preventing Windows from starting up normally.

Uhm...

Thanks?

I really wish I wasn't computer illiterate...

And I don't see how the camera caused it since I had my camera off after sending the files.

Being computer literate wouldn't help with his posts.. It would only make matters worse. lmao. :)

Anyways, I would check your drive for errors. Go into My Computer and right click on your C drive. Select Properties. On the Tools Tab, select error checking. Tell it to automatically fix errors. You will have to reboot for it to complete the task.

Still click yes?

To see the check disk utility run along with the /F fix errors switch added on the end of the command when typing it manually in at the Run prompt you will need to restart the system. Right following the initial post tests you will see a blue screen so don't panic.

There it will say press any key within so many seconds to cancel. Simply let it run and Windows will load normally as usuall following the conclusion.

(In the meantime you simply have to ignore sneers made by someone else who may have drank a little....? you can pm me if needed)
