iPhone 4 Battery replacement problem

I just replaced the battery and back glass on my friends iPhone 4, the installation went good (i had the special tool kit that came with it) but after when you plug in the iPhone it says activation required and when you slide the unlock it says plug into itunes and won't do anything. they said the computer doesn't recognize it at all.
Please help thankfully I didn't charge her for changing it...

no, I read that there was a 5% chance that this would happen and it was an incompatibility with the battery or something

sorry i didn't reply I stopped looking at this when I found fix
