iphone (and laptop) email reliability, best way ?

I'd like to ask what people think the best way to collect mails on the iphone when you also need to keep track of your mails on your home pc also.
I use outlook express to collect my mails on a laptop for 2 or 3 accounts (although I'd considering going back to just one address to check). I'm with googlemail, but I also like the online service that they have and I use (and like) this on my work computer..... after all, it's easy on any computer, and you're not storing loads of stuff on your harddrive

so.......

My newly bought iphone is one of the few 'extra' devices that I've tried to keep track of my mails on. (it sinc'd with my email accounts from the home pc and therefore it must access mails and bring them from the servers whilst somehow allowing the home pc to also bring those same messages when you check them...... although not it every case, as I mention below)

1, Firstly, I notice that it's email software seem incapable of downloading some messages, saying "this message had not been downloaded from the server" and it leaves this message "stuck" on the server, but crucially the home pc is then not even bringing it into outlook express

2, The message that was not shown on the phone (the message was just blank) was shown when I logged into googlemail on the phones web browser.

Is it not just best to set googlemail as a favourite and 'remember me', then just check your mails in that way ?

does anyone else use 'just' the web services to check their mails on more than one device ?

Well what I do to check emails on my Iphone is -
I have a hotmail account where all my emails go to and then I set up a google mail account and forwarded all the emails to that and set up iphone to download messages from google mail.

Because they are forwarded to google mail they are kept on the hotmail server so when i check on laptop using outlook they are still coming down to laptop.

So you could set up something like that. Hope you ca understand what i'm saying:P

I think I understand, so you kind of create a duplicate set of emails. Your main account recieves the mails (which you collect on your pc) and then all those mails are automatically forwarded to a second account (which you collect on your phone)...... and since they're a second set of mails, this gives you the ability to delete and manage them seperately without confusion ?

So..... I wonder if I can set up a second googlemail account and forward one to the other ?

thanks for the help, this could just be my solution
