Ipod connection error

I have my Ipod dock connected constantly but when i place the ipod in it i get a message in my task bar saying i should safley remove the hardware, how do i get rid of this as i do not want to remove the ipod from my computer.

Are you working on an Mac or a normal PC?

Try updating your iTunes software, this might be the problem. You can update the iTunes directly by clicking on the update button which will connect you to the Apple website and get you a newer version which shall solve the problem.
