iPod Hard Drive

This might be a little off topic but I was wondering if it was possible to partition and boot from the hard drive within an iPod (I have a 4thGen 20GB) and then use an install disc to load an OS. The iPod memory is an actual hard drive not flash, correct? What I want to know is if this would affect the music, firmware, the iPod OS, or anything already on the iPod?? any thoughts would be great, thanx alot

uh...well you can perfectly ues ipod as a portable harddrive so theoretically it's possible...maybe..give it a try and let us know.

I own an iPod myself and have read several posts on www.ipodlounge.com about people doing it. For more information I would look around there. The people there are very helpful and knowledgable.
