Ipod help

I just bought a Pink 8Gb Ipod Nano for my girlfriend last night and for the life of me I can not get the songs to load into the ipod.

I downloaded Itunes, added each folder by following these steps

1. Open Itunes

2. Go to file and click add folder to library

3. Drag and drop into Ipod


Even following these steps I can not load music onto the player. The really odd part is when you go my computer and click on the Ipod it shows the songs in there and when you check the amount of space in the actual Ipod via the settings it also shows its full, but yet there is no music available.

So files are getting to the player but it is not showing them as songs, just as files.

Any ideas?

Try clicking on the iPod under devices on the left, and then to the music tab. Make sure 'sync music' is checked, and then click sync on the lower right.

I think what you're doing just allows you to see how much you are adding without actually adding it.

The really odd part is when you go my computer and click on the Ipod it shows the songs in there

now that's very odd, mine doens't show the song, so does the shuffle i was checking a while back. are you sure it's not faulty or something ? can always take it back
