iPods?

Hey,

I have an old iPod that won't even turn on. This is over 2 years old. I was wondering if there is any way of like supercharging it and fixing it or something where I can stimulate it into working again. Thanks a lot.

Sincerely,

Alexander

Are you able to flash it with a new firmware? Im not an iPod user, so i dont know if you have to do anything on the iPod for that to work or not.

Most likely a dead battery... happened to my friend. She sent it in (mind you, it was still under warranty) and they fixed it for her... Would you happen to know if it is still under warranty?

I don't think so.

I don't think that it is under warranty anymore so what I want to try and do is fix the battery myself somehow. Any tips. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Alexander Halpern

Not much you can do to fix a dead battery. I mean, can you fix a dead AA battery? Not really. There's nothing to fix...it's dead. You can try re-charging it (if you have the proper equipment, which is un-likely) but more than likely a "repaired" battery will never hold a charge like a working one, if you could get it to re-charge ever again in the first place.

The nice thing is that Apple allows you to buy the AppleCare warranty at any point with the iPod. So you could probably go in and buy the warranty now, and it should hopefully be covered under that... But, I'd ask them about that to be sure.
