IRQ problem? Mouse Problem? Computer Problem?

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, i found out the problem..it was an IRQ problem. i had a floppy inside my computer for some dos antivirus software.anywayz, it paused at this screen, and i could clearly look at my IRQ..how can i fix it, please some one help!!!


do u guys know why and how it has happened? and if i cant fix it, i can take it to a local computer shop!

i have flash my bios and uninstalled windows like 5 times...i noe nothing else to do...

Hopefully you didn't see a bad flash when going to update the bios itself. The first thing to try now would be loading the optimized defaults if you can get into the bios setup normally.

If the floppy search was disabled then having a disk in the drive wouldn't make any difference until the floppy was set as one of the boot devices and still nothing if the floppy controller was disabled. Otherwise you would have heard the floppy drive at post and likely the disk as well.

One thing to try now before even starting the system and going into the bios would be unplugging the printer and using the ps/2 adapter for the mouse. Once you load the defaults in the bios temporarily disable the usb controller and set the PCI/PCI-E setting to PCI-E.

The usb, display, and network controller all using the same IRQ? Either the bios got a little corrupted, the battery on the board is getting weak, or someone played around with the manual settings. A fourth would be a failing bios eprom.
