IRQL Not Less or Equal?

Hi guys,

So sometimes I'll get the blue screen of death and the message "IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal". This has happened a handful of times now (3-4) over the past month or so and was wondering if you guys might know how to remedy the problem.

I did some searching and it seems like this is either due to bad memory or the Intel Application Accelerator. Can anyone tell me more about this? How would I see if it's bad memory? And how could I uninstall the Intel Application Accelerator if it's that?

Also, most people seem to have this problem when they do a particular thing (e.g. minimize a videogame, running a scan, etc.)...my just seems to occur randomly. If that helps at all...

So, anyone know how I might fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if it helps, my OS is Windows 7. On a MSi GX640.

Thanks guys!

1.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

2.

To test your ram download and create a memtest bootable cd.

http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-4.0a.iso.zip

Download the file and use burning software that will write ISO files to cd, just don't burn the file to a cd, it won't work. If you don't have any burning software that will write ISO files you can download IMGburn here.

Helpful as always John. :)

Here's my BSOD.txt file from my BlueScreenView scan:

I don't have time at the moment to test my RAM but will do when I get home. As always, thanks a bunch John.

Also, I had an older dell system at the shop about 3 weeks ago with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I popped the ram out, and popped it back in. No more BSOD. Also I set the virtual memory to it's maximum capacity.

I'm not sure if Intel's driver will install. Usually on laptops you have to use the driver from the manufacturer. Try msi first.
