Irritating Bootup Resolution Issues (HELP!!!)

OK, so I get my computer assembled today, I hook it up to a regular old TV cuz I don't have a DVI monitor, nor a TV that takes a resolution higher than 800x600.

I installed the drivers, and I installed Direct X 9, and I reboot, and NO VIDEO!!!!! The desktop obviously loads cuz you can see it when it flickers, but then it stops flickering altogether.

Anybody know what could be wrong?

is it connected to the tv by Svideo?. you need to set your video drivers to clone your normal display.
 
Agreed ^. If you're doing dual monitors (with a nVidia card...) You'll need to make 2 seperate displays or a clone...
