Irritating Hard Drive Issue

Hello, I've got a bit of a problem with my hard drive, couldn't find a solution in the FAQ or elsewhere on the web (surfing on 56k is a touch painful) so I opted to post here.

I just bought a new hard drive - 160GB SATA Samsung SP1614C. Problem is, it's only showing up as 127GB on my windows XP. I've tried several things, updating all my drivers, installing SP2, and making sure my BIOS is up to date, none of which worked.

So I'm not really sure what to try, if it's a complex problem or if I've just overlooked something relatively simple = /. Just hoping someone could shed somelight on the issue, any replies appreciated = ).
 
right click on my computer click on manage then on the left click disk managment you will see your system healthy then there will be some unallocated right click that and formatt this will create a partition so you can use all of your hdd
