Is 1.6vcore for my e6600 going to kill its life?

Exactly, thank's Rambo. :p

I don't know why you aren't happy with the E6600 stock speeds, they're well 'n' truely good enough!

Well, any Core 2 Duo is good enough. But overclocking these Core 2 Duo's can give people thrills. Especially since they are so overclockable. :D

there is a huge performance difference that could be seen in other things such as exctracting

Hang on. Give me a minute. There was a table which compared stuff like this.

Ahhh, right. I've never OC'ed before you see and I'm thinking of getting an E6300. :)

Rambo, a stock E6300 wouldn't perform better than an XP 2400+ would it :p?

Not at all, E6600 is no comparison to an E6300. That's like comparing 2 to 4, oh look at that, that's double. Now on external speed it can be comparable, which it seems like this guy is trying to do. But, jeez, don't burn it out, you're running 3.21Ghz and trying to run 1.6v on what kind of cooler? Oh, by the way, internal water cooling is overated, there is no more efficiency than a case with good air flow and a Zalman 95 or 9700.

Here we go.

As you can see, the complete average performance is only 3.5%. :)

@ Kornowski: Lol - nahh, not really. In fact, the Athlon XP 2400+ is tons better than the E6300... :p
