I'm looking at intel quad cores is 1300MHz worth the extra $60 or is 1066MHz good enough? I'm a gamer but not hardcore I play for fun if that helps choose.
No, not really. The only thing I can imagine it being good for is benchmarking, other than that, you're likely not to see any difference between the two.
If your really wanted 1300Mhz RAM, buy some 1066, or some really good 800Mhz RAM and simply OC it.
