I was concerned when my CPU was running around 52-55°C, contacted AMD and they said it was perfectly fine. If it dies on you, the warranty should cover it anyways.

i dont know about yall, but i have never seen that. i have an amd 64 4000 with artic silver 5, the stock heatsink (alumnium) and a thermaltake 5500rpm fan, that i almost allways run at 2800 rpms. idle, my pc runs at 30-40, and under hours of gaming, maybe 58 degrees. but it all depends on what your room temp is, if there are any wires blocking your airflow, and if there are any intake/exaust fans in your case. dont worry about it. as long as your cpu dosent go over 65 celsus, you have nothing to worry about. download and install speedfan, and if you have an ATI video card, download ati tray tools. if i were you, i would go buy a $7 thing of artic silver 5, at atleast a 25 to 30 dollar heatsink/fan. at most it sould cost you under $50 with tax and shipping... just to make sure, check your bios, and make sure the "AMD Cool & Quiet" feature is turned on.
