Is a P4 3GHZ CPU still any good?

Actually, the Celeron M outperforms the Mobile Sempron, but mainly because it's based off the same architecture as the Pentium M.
 
To adress the main question...well when fear came out, it was one of the best cpus, or not the worst per say...it aint bad, i got one and am always trying to upgrade but with my setup, i do some intensive shiit and am alaways amazed at how this proc stands up...if u have the funds, upgrade, if u dont, dont worry about it a p4 will still get u through the year.
 
P4 is ok

I have 3 extra systems as I run whats in my sig my roommate runs an Opty 165 w/7600GT. The extra systems are P4 2.8HT w/6800GT agp, P4 3.0HT w/6200 AGP, and AMD 64 3200 @ 2.4 w/6800GT PCIE. They all run FEAR and every other game just fine. Even the 6200 @ 1024x768 feels fine. It may not look like a dream like my rig but its playable and fun. Hope that helps. :D
