After all the hate 8 & 8.1 got I didn't really want to upgrade from 7. But from what I hear 10 might be able to redeem the Windows OS from all the hate. I understand some people like it & some people don't but those who don't were using 7 prior to upgrading to 8 or 8.1. & a good majority of the people that like 8 & 8.1 were new to PCs or just got used to the new format easier.
I tried it on a friends PC & just couldn't get used to it. I'm too used to how XP & 7 was. I hear 8.1 has a few improvements in desktop mode & in the app mode. But 10 seems like it's going to be more like 7 but with a few things borrowed from 8.1. If this is true it has me thinking of upgrading my OS to 10 when it's released late this year.
Allot of businesses are still using 7 for obvious reasons. It's more of a professional, easier to use OS than 8 or 8.1. 8 or 8.1 seems to be more for casual PC users like college students during their time off or as a home PC for entertainment because of the app environment. The lack of the Windows start menu was a major let down for allot who switched to 8 from 7.
