Is buying this worth being able to pick it up?

I am just wondering if the price is worth being able to get it in person. I know this is probably low end stuff, I just wanna get started this weekend.

You have a socket 775 motherboard - with an AMD Socket 3 socket CPU.

You need to match the motherboard to the CPU - and the RAM to the motherboard.

Why don't you post a budget - and what you want your PC to do - and folks can give you some suggestions that will fit all the pieces together. If you don't want to game - or want a dual monitor - you might be able to save some money using the on board Graphics card rather than a low end video card.

I did that, but the place where I can pick it up, doesn't have all the stuff that newegg has

Have fun with your build. It's really quite simple - once you get through your first build. I'm never buying another big box PC again.

I do enjoy reading up on systems now - and actually knowing what I'm looking at. Before I saw RAM - and monitor - and bought a price range - rather than actually knowing what I was getting.

That's how I am. Just now learning all the ins and outs. I am excited to do my first build. Thanks for all your help.:good:

The power supply you have chosen is questionable in quality.

Take a look at this power supply it is decent quality:
Basiq 500 Watt ATX 12V Power Supply - $55

I also wouldn't buy the motherboard and processor combination you chose. Intel motherboards aren't the best quality motherboards on the market. Look at Gigabyte, Asus or MSI brand motherboards.

I also don't know if the hard drive you chose is a laptop or a desktop hard drive. It may not work with a desktop computer. This one will work with a desktop computer:

WD Caviar Blue WD3200AAJS 320GB Hard Drive - $48

You also haven't selected an operating system.

That's what the guy told me when I put my order in. They are going to help me with all the stuff I need when I go up there tonight.

I am holding off on the OS. I am going to take my time on building this, and I am not sure if I want to put 7 on this comp or not.
