i didnt really understand da part bout y in winxp , when its suppose to b 80gb, i only get to use 74.5 gb of da harddrive

80gb is the raw form of the hdd. when you format a hdd part of the hadd capacity is lost in the formating. and some of it is lost to windows OS. An 80GB hdd is realy only about 76GB +\-. i had an 80GB hdd and after formating it was 76.3gb of usable space. The bigger the hdd the more space is lost in the formatting. I hope this helps you understand it.

My 80Gb is only 74.5Gb under windows. Damn crappy FAT32 file system. I really should upgrade to NTFS but i cant be arsed.
