Depends. It does diminish performance of single-threaded apps somewhat, but it's usually better to leave it on. Hyperthreading wasn't that great on P4, though, so if you use any single-threaded programs that rely heavily on the CPU you might be better off turning it off (thenagain, if you use any processor-intensive programs you most likely wouldn't be rocking a P4 anyway).Also I heard that hyper-threading can HURT performance. Is this true? Should I leave it off or on?
