Is Hyperthreading Working?

I turned on hyper-threading in bios, but when I go to task manager, it only shows one processor. In Device manager, it says that I have 2x 2.8ghz CPUs. Aren't I supposed to have 2x 1.4ghz?
 
If it shows 2 - 2.8 ghz processors in device manager then hyperthreading is working.
 
If you go into Task Manager, then select the Performance Tab, select
the View option, then select CPU Option, does it show One Graph per CPU
as being selected? If you have the One Graph for all CPUs selected it
will only show one graph. Just make sure that "one graph per cpu" is checked.

Depends. It does diminish performance of single-threaded apps somewhat, but it's usually better to leave it on. Hyperthreading wasn't that great on P4, though, so if you use any single-threaded programs that rely heavily on the CPU you might be better off turning it off (thenagain, if you use any processor-intensive programs you most likely wouldn't be rocking a P4 anyway).
 
I know the prescott p4 2.8 Ghz are hardware enabled hyper threaded technology so it may not show up as 2 cpu's in task manager.
