Is it better to just get a LC cpu heatsink anymore when upgrading from OEM heatsinks?

I haven't had a tower for a long time.Prebuilt cpu LC heatsink systems seem to have gotten cheaper & grown in options.On newegg in the LC section,1st page on lowest prices shows $55-75.I seen regular cpu heatsinks cost more than that.
The cheapest one,cooler master brand is $24.99 right now( $24.99 after $30.00 rebate card )

It depends what level of cooling you need or want, you can get decent coolers for $20-25, but a really good air cooler will cost about the same as some liquid coolers.

Have a look at the corsair H60, it is a great cooler for the price.

Be careful about rebates, if you are looking at it cus of the rebate, id keep in mind that sometimes the rebates do not go through. Look at the Corsair systems mentioned above. Top notch stuff.

If its for your system in the sig, then get a nice air cooler, don't worry about wc.
