I'm building a gaming pc for college and have my parts picked out. Please take a look and see if there's anything that could be an issue. Specifically, I was wondering if the PSU is more than enough for my components to maximize lifespan. Also, I would like to know if the parts will produce more heat than can be dissipated.

Also, how would this system fare in overclocking? unlocking cores? would the PSU be able to handle it easily? Should I consider an aftermarket CPU cooler? Additonal case fans? Can someone check if the rails on the PSU would be good enough for this comp? And, if there is another gtx 460 that you would recommend, feel free.

CPU - unlock core is not guarantee. If you plan to overclock, you may consider spend slightly more get phenom IIx3 720 OEM + aftermarket heatsink

PSU - should be enough to run the machine

Case fan -you have already got 3, don't see a point of adding additional. Check the temp after you get the machine up and running.

Video card - althenative to GTX 460 will be 5830.

RAM - good for the price. But you could consider more expensive one if you overclock.
 
Naturally, more cores would result in more power usage, but I would like to know if more cores would help in gaming performance and if the PSU would be capable with the additional power usage.

Also, the gtx 460 seems more apt to overclocking than the 5830.
