Is it completely fried?

Recently, my cousin dumped Dr. Pepper into the top air vent of her Dell Inspiron 3647 desktop and it started popping LOUD as if fireworks were going off and smoke came out of the top (Was happening for 15 seconds before it was unplugged). They got a new one so I took it home and I'm attempting to repair it. Most of the soda landed on the processer fan shroud and drained to the sides into the power supply unit, though some drops landed on the mother board and processor bracket(which I cleaned off), but shouldn't hurt it. Inside of the power supply unit, some white component melted and exploded everywhere in it, and it also has a terrible burnt smell while the motherboard doesn't. Also, the power unit cover has some charred areas while the motherboard doesn't. If I replace the power supply unit, can it be saved?
