Is it crazy to buy a prebuilt tower?

Example using rebates and promos. After shipping = $493.27

AMD 645 4core processor. Don't need that many cores, but it's only $15 more than the AMD 450 x3.
AMD Athlon II X4 645 Propus 3.1GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX645WFGMBOX

This motherboard has nice chipset and other features. I know these other features may or may not be used(at least right away), but it fits the budget. Nice board.
ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

A tad higher perf. RAM than usual, but costs a bit more too.. Has heat spreaders.
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK

The hdd already mentioned, if it's enough space.
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

This case looks a little like a gaming type case, but for the deal, it's good pricewise and has good features. The power supply is ok, and with this deal it's like..FREE  The case and PS can be separated to get what case is preferred. Just don't get a case that has it's own PS, as those put your whole system at risk.
NZXT M59 - 001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Any name brand burner will do. Usually there's at least free shipping, but not today.
LITE-ON DVD Writer - Bulk - Black SATA Model iHAS224-06 LightScribe Support - OEM

Who doesn't use a card reader/writer?
nMEDIAPC ZE-C68 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader w/ USB Port

Promo on the monitor saves $20, if it's large enough. If not, Asus has rebates on 23" models. Promos for monitors are quite frequent.
Acer G215HAbd-1 Black 21.5" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor

For the office environment type use described, I dare to say this system wouldn't be slowed by any such multitasking.

The monitor & case/PS promos are good thru tomorrow night. The one on the processor just started, and I don't know for how long. Or, by then there will be others, but you have to be signed up to thier eblasts to use them (as most places).

Building/assembling is pretty easy. Any help with that or anything else about the build can be found here @ CF.:good:
