Hi folks, I was wondering if it is important to log out of apps on mobile devices, is there any security issues or will it use up battery any quicker by staying logged in even with the app closed ?

If you stay logged in you will get notifications, so yes, I'd say it will use more of your battery, but it won't make up for the hassle of having to always log in and out whenever you want to use an app. I'd stay logged in, unless you have other people use your phone.

Thanks wrxguy, yes it would be a nuisance to log in and out every time, just trying to find ways to stretch out battery life.

Turned down brightness and screen timeout, i notice in task killers that some apps are constantly running and even if i kill the apps they start straight backup, is that normal and if not what else can i do except use the task killer.

Task killers are not good, it will actually hurt battery life if you have it setup to autokill applications. The best way to conserve battery life is to uninstall apps you don't use, change the sync times on things like e-mail, twitter updates, facebook updates, etc. The less frequently it checks, the longer your battery will last.
