Is it my graphics card?

My computer will be running and then all of a sudden this will happen to the screen and the computer freezes I assume, I cannot press anything for it to function.

At this particular time I was running Itunes listening to a song, on the internet looking at a website with few images and had nothing running in the background. Is this my graphics card or an underlying problem with my computer? Thanks

Specs? I doubt the monitor playing up is anything to do with core components; as said, it's either the graphics card, or most likely, there is some interference from another device close by or the video cable comes out.

Does the computer make noise or reset?? How long has it been doing this compared to how long you've had the computer??? you might try looking on the manufacturers website for a video driver update.

It doesn't make any noise or reset, the screen just changes and there is nothing I can do to turn it off, and of the eight years I've had it, it has done it for 4 months.

8 years?? Is it clean? Take a look at the dust in your computer thread in General computer chat, if you haven't.
