So I bought some of the computer parts. But i didn't have enough money for the psu which I should be getting in two weeks. Is it ok if I place all the components into my thermaltake mk1 case then when the psu comes install the psu? Or is it a bad idea and I should just instal everything at once. I got a lot of boxes in my room that I kinda want to get rid of.

I don't see why installing everything in the case bar the PSU until you get it would be bad.

You won't harm the other parts if you don't install the psu right away. However, I wouldn't be throwing away the boxes just yet. Keep them until the warranties expire and then get rid of them.

I have a 5 year old brother. Thanks why I keep the parts in my room for now. I will put the empty boxes in the basement when i install the parts. If I install them, then my little brother can't touch the parts. he tends to open the boxes..

Some one told me that it might create static electricity in the system or something and screw up my motherboard
Only if you don't ground yourself before hand. Just touch a bare piece of grounded metal and don't move around too much on carpet and you'll be safe.

Yes definitely keep the boxes!

make sure you ground yourself first :) touch a bit of metal grounded so that you wont create static :) but installing the parts without the psu is no problem :)
make sure you can still install the psu though, it will be very anoying when u get the psu and it dosnt fit because the other components are in the way :P

PSU will still be easy to install as it usually sits at the top or the bottom of the case and there shouldn't be anything else obstructing it.
