Is it Possible to force Uninstall a Program?

Hi everyone, I heard this commercial on the radio about doublemyspeed.com

It basically is this registry cleaner which doesnt work, I just wanted to try it out.... Problem is now when I try to uninstall it , it will not let me...

Is there some freeware I can use to force an uninstall?

when i try to uninstall it, it will ask me why I want to uninstall it, but when I answer it doesnt respond... Ive heard its a trojan...

any thoughts?

you can try ccleaner.com
another is regseeker from hoverdesk.org or com.
if not there are other options. delete the folder and either of these proggys will take it out of start up. after a reboot you can clean the registery with these proggys. regseeker is good for orphans. if that does not work then go here in the security forum and follow the instructions.

Sounds like you got duped into installing malware. Is it asking you to register your copy before you uninstall?

i tried CC cleaner too, that didnt work... Found a program called revo uninstaller, it did the trick

If you went out and actually deleted the binary (exe file) of the program in question it a lot of times then lets you uninstall it.
