I wouldn't want to overclock a laptop (I think thats what you just described) and most major manufacturers, make it so you can't overclock.

Heehee i've managed to OC my IBM ... and now it wont downclock :p

I didn't know about Laptops OC.
Typically if you're gonna buy an OC friendly laptop you'll probably know about it (as the laptops are for enthusiasts and cost $4000+)

To actually answer your question though:
- You'd have to look around in the BIOS to see what options are available (i dont expect a lot of though, if any, as the OEMs what you to go back and buy another one)
- You'll need to get some nice cooling before you consider OCing
- If that's SDR memory you have there odds are you wont be OCIng enough to matter since the modules are typically quite OC-unfriendly ... I wouldnt expect past 155Mhz without some serious tweaking

Dont think Sony will come out with a new BIOS anytime soon (not one thats OC friendly at that)
