is there such a program or file out there which i could put on my datastick, which would automatically log me in if it were plugged in, say it was not plugged in, then my computer would not login, but if it were plugged in then that would allow me to enter my password.

If any one has heard of something like this, can you please post,

right, i go to there website but it wont download, do you know of any others, or any other websites which offer it as a non direct mirror ?
 
Well there ARE quite a few and it depends if you want a free one or not so do what I did to reply to your first post :-


  • Get your old M8 Google
  • search for something such as "USB login utility" or similar
  • and check out the ones that are available
  • Here's another one for you to try
 
yes, i tried google, spent about half an hour searching before i posted, you can usually come up trumps... but i just couldnt find anythiing. Unfortunately that one doesnt work on notebooks :confused: i have a dell inspiron 9300. typical ey :)

its all about your keywords i suppose, i usually use the good old 94fbr trick for stuff, but thats no good for this. I was searching for . " Usb logon utility " its amazing the different ranges

preferablly a free one two :)
