is it safe to use Nvidia drivers instead of Leadteck (my brand)

Well, leadtek is the brand i have of my 8800gts. And Nvidia has more updated drivers that Leadtek doesn't for my card. is it safe to use Nvidia's?
 
Yeah I think it better to use the drivers downloaded from the nvidia website. And anyway most manufacturers just have a link to that nvidia download site, so you will be downloading the same thing. ;)
 
This would work yes an in my opinion nVidea are better so i would try and always go for the nVidea drivers.

The company is just so damn good :P
 
The company drivers are just the nvidia drivers repackaged. Sometimes they add some logos and what not to the installer and sometimes they add OC tabs but all the same stuff can be acheived with the nvidia drivers
 
Also the worse that a driver can do is crash your computer, in which case it can be simply remedied by booting into safe mode and uninstalling it.
 
ok, i got the ones from Nvidia. nVidia has a more updated driver, and my brand did not have that updated one. Leadtek sux, but at least everything works. I got tons more frames per second now! Thanks guys!
