this looks to me like a good deal (im a computer noob) (I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS IS A LAPTOP i dont know if anyone was talking about a desktop in there replies or not, sorry i forgot to specify)

No, the deal isnt' that great. You can get an Acer with Duo Core (better than the Turion) with an nVidia 7400 for about that much with better specs too. But of course, the Asus 2 year global warranty is hard to beat. :rolleyes:
 
its mainly for games so i understand processors arent all that importnat with framerates in mind, plus i think steam has a problem with dual core processors, as it runs steam.exe on one and hl2.exe on the other or something
 
that isnt a good deal at all. if you want a gaming laptop, look into dell xps. you can get a nice one for the same price or cheaper.

hehe i agree, dell suck! that isnt really a good deal, if youre gonna be gaming on it you would probably also need 1gb of ram, and an extra 512mb will cost you at least £70 - £100...
 
ehh.. i'd change up the ram and the video card. and preferably 5400rpm hard drive if you can.
thats not a great deal though.
