I'd just like to mention that with the newest Linux kernel, AMD graphics have improved up to 90%.
This is not AMD that has done it, it actually surprised AMD.

I'm not that much into Linux, I use Ubuntu once in a while, so I'm not sure which kernel Ubuntu 13.10 runs on, but if you have an AMD card, this is great news.
Many people speculate that it's because NVIDIA doesn't coorporate very well with the Linux developers. You've probably seen or heard of the famous interview with Linus Thorvalds, the creator of Linux (not the creator, but massively credited as the inventor), where he flips off NVIDIA. But it's just speculation of course
