Is it worth it?

Basically, I can get a mobo that supports DDR2, and has 2x 240-pin RAM slots for about £30.00. (maximum 8GB) If I buy two 2gb Sticks of RAM, then it will be full, right? (the slots, that is, not the full capacity) Whereas for double that price, I can get one with 4x 240-pin RAM slots, which will pretty much make me futureproof, allowing me to upgrade until I have about 16GB of RAM! but is it worth the extra cost for a mobo, I'm pretty sure I won't need anymore than 4gb of RAM, but the more expensive one comes with lots of nice Extras like extra USBs, and higher quality audio  Would it be worth spending a little more for that? I appreciate the fact that it will cost LOADS to fill it up to it's full capacity of RAM ;L

Thanks :)

Wouldn't be worth it to me. The average user isn't going to see a big performance boost from 4GB to 8GB or even 16GB of RAM. It's likely that the CPU socket will be outdated before you get to the point that you might need 8GB or 16GB of RAM, so you're not really future proofing yourself. As for the other features, it's really up to you. Do you appreciate higher quality audio and do you need more USB ports? Personally, I would put the money towards upgrading the CPU or GPU and see better performance for the money.
