Is it worth trading hard drive space for a better processor?

Hi all,

I'm looking in to buying a new laptop and would really appreciate your help. I'm interested in the Asus K55A (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5088979.htm) and the HP Pavilion G6 (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/catalogId/1500002951/partNumber/5086892.htm#pdpProductReviews), but can't decide between them!

My main query is if the Intel Pentium processor of the HP is worth losing out on 250GB of hard drive space - the Asus only has an Intel Celeron processor but a mighty 1TB hard drive memory.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It's much easier to swap out a smaller disk drive for a larger one to upgrade later than it is to swap out the processor so I would go for the faster processor then upgrade the disk drive later when more disk space is needed.

I would personally go for the Asus, purely from a quality perspective. Asus is generally considered to be a relatively reliable brand, and HP is generally considered to be a low-quality brand as of late. The processor speed difference is rather negligible in a low-cost laptop; if you plan to use it for anything resource-intensive, chances are you will be bottlenecked by the GPU in either laptop.
