Is MSI any good?

Hey guys.

Now i know the main difference between brands is bundles and warranty, but i hear better brands ie. XFX, eVGA, Gigabyte usse better quality components on their cards ie capacitors.

Now thats a question I have with MSI. Is it a good brand or do they use cheap components?

The reason Why Im Asking is cause i have found a new MSI 4870 1Gb about $60 cheaper than the equivalent Gigabyte version (I know prices are messed up, but here in South Africa, All is expensive and dependant on the US$ and Rand Exchange (unless it goes down, then prices stay where they are...))

So is MSI reputable? or should i save and rather get the gigabyte?

Well from my experience (1 MSI motherboard in my old computer, and two MSI video cards) they are quite well built. They have good customer service, and my Geforce FX 5200 or whatever its called runs like a beast (on older games :P). I would go for it if I were you, but that's just me talking. See what some other people have to say.
 
Yes MSI are very good i would reccommend them to anyone.

they have fantastic customer support.
