i've been lagging at 60fps capped in GrID. i have vsync off and haven't changed any settings. also, note the core and memory clocks, that doesn't look normal. it also did it playing counter strike source. is my card dying?

60 fps is pretty damn good, don't complain until it drops to less than 30 FPS

hmm, no. i had been getting twice that. and 200+ fps in CSS. so no, it's not good. i game at 1680x1050 using DirectX9 and i even lowered some graphic settings but it's still capped at 60fps.
i don't know why my clocks read 50mhz, it's just wrong.

If you have a warranty, fry it then tell em it randomly stopped, and let them replace it.

it started working fine after i unplugged the secondary lcd monitor. didn't do that before with the other crt i had there. hopping it's just that.

Turn all the settings back up. If you lower the settings and it caps at 60, and then you raise the settings and it caps at 60, that means something is capping the output of the card, but the card is still performing.

I'm not sure what that specific program is but EVGA Precision can give you the same information in a graph like that. And my only guess is that the second monitor was capped at 60fps, thus capping the whole output of the video card to 60 fps. Although that wouldn't explain what happened when you had the CRT in.

Whoa what program is that I want it :o

ati tray tools, once you run it, right click on the tray icon and select hardware, then monitor. then you can add what variables you want to graph. pretty neat.

yeah, i'm gonna try again using different combinations, see what happens. it is actually an lcd tv running at like 30hz. it's pretty small so i'll probably just use it as tv and not pc monitor.
