is my card toast?

I know this was dumb put I am greedy for speed...
I tried to flash my x800pro BIOS to an X800XTPE (it worked for a friend)... I get no video anymore, everything boots fine but no video. It reads my floppy disk. I tried to reflash it with my BIOS that i backed up from ATiTool but without any video I was typing blind. I don't know if it flashed or not but I still have no video. I am going to try to get a PCI card from the old PCs at school. Is it possible tht I ruined my card to the point of no return or do you think that if I get a PCI card to see tht the flash went through, would that work? Is it possibe that even reflashing with the correct BIOS would it still not work? I used flashrom for this, should i use atitool for the reflash or keep using flashrom?
 
i wouldn't worry about it, same happend to me, then i plugged in an old pci card and reflashed it and it worked, i don't think the card can be ruined by flashing the bios, get that pci card and your done :)

edit: there is a program named atiwinflash, you can use it to flash you card when your in windows without entering the dos

you cant ruin a card by scrapping the software ;)
at least. not fhysically. but like filip said, try to re-flash it, and should be fine.
 
YAY!!! I "borrowed" an old ATi Rage from the computer junk heap at school. If I were going to reflash from DOS how what would I type in so it won't flash the PCI card but my other one.
