Is my computer fried?

I have XP Pro.

It started with the task manager not closing when I X'ed out. Then after a reboot, it wouldn't POST. Then, an hour later I tried again...it booted fine. Then, it wouldn't POST again. And that's where I'm left off at. It does nothing but turn on the fan. That's it. It's a laptop, so finding a place to buy certain parts is tricky.

So, my question is....what do you think the problem is? MOBO, BIOS, RAM?

sounds like mobo, doubt it would be bios, possibly ram but it would probably beep at you, and since it's a laptop, your best option would be to send it back to the manufacturer
