Is my gpu my problem

I have dual monitors, one I'm playing WoW the other usually streaming music or watching videos and searching the web, multiple tabs open. Sometimes the game will start locking up and sometimes the videos I'm watching will. Is this my gpu? I did open my case yesterday and I hadn't cleaned in a while. Cleaned it up, also my 2 exhaust fans were barley working. So I've replaced those, thinking about installing a 3rd intake fan.

I guess what I'm asking is should I replace my gpu? Radeon HD 5770. Just seems like my computer is dragging when there isn't much on it. What I wrote above is all I do on it. If I should replace what do you suggest, would like to stay under $200.

What temperatures are you getting when doing all of this stuff? Use HWMonitor to check. Sounds like overheating.

If you beef up your GPU you'll probably see better results under load. But otherwise your temps are normal.

Thanks for all the input, I picked up the GTX 960 today. Bad thing is that I have to wait to try it out. Working nights sucks.

radeon hd 5770: normal setting: frame rate was 20 and during dungeon/raid it was 12.

GTX 960: ultra setting: frame rate is at 100 and goes to 40 to 50 during dungeon/raid.

sounds like my switch from a gtx 650ti to a gtx 770. Was getting 100 fps in battlefield 4 on ultra settings and 1080p on the gtx 770
