When I play a video game (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon) I am getting black or gray screen crashes. The program will just freeze and I will have to push the reset or power button. Is My Hardware Messed up? What does this error code mean?

Update edit: I went to the website http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms681382(VS.85).aspx
to look up this error code.
It is saying that an error code 0x8 is "ERROR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY"

How can this be? I have 1790 megabytes of physical random access memory available. Is my RAM faulty? I am going to pull out one RAM module at a time and see if I am still getting these error codes.

Access Violation errors are caused by software trying to access some memory that it is not allow to. I don't think you have any problems with your hardware, but something to do with that game. I would look up any patches for that game to see there is a fix or reinstall the game.

You are likely right. I pulled out my RAM and tried one stick at a time and I am still getting the same problem. I don't have freeze ups like this except for when I play this game.

Update edit: I was playing Luxor 2 and had my system freeze up. So I tried going into my BIOS and changing my RAM from DDR2 800 to DDR2 667 megahertz. It seems to be running more stable now. I don't care if I am at PC2-10000 speeds since I am using dual channel mode versus my old PC2-12000 RAM speed.
