Is my laptop broken?

Hello.
I have had my laptop, a fujitsu ah530 lifebook, for just over 2 years, and suddenly from the one day to the other it started lagging. And it takes 10 min to start it. Then I tried to clean it with several programs, like ccleaner, tuneup etc. nothing seemed to change, then I decided to boot it, delete everything and hope for the best. After the boot, some of the lag is gone, but yet I can't play games, cause it will freeze every minute, and it drops to 0 fps for 10 seconds or so. I can still use it though, just only for web surf, and even that laggs. So my real question is: Is my computer dead?
I am not willing to pay anything for it, as it is old, and not very expensive.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the bad english, I am not good at expressing myself in English :)

Yup garbage...I'll give you $10...lol JK

I would try to open it up and clean it out cuz it might be overheating or something along those lines..if you don't care about the data try a clean reinstall of everything...you may have grabbed a virus (dont' ask me about that tho cuz I've never had a serious one)...upgrade your BIOS and firmware and stuff...

Could be a bad hard drive or other software issue. Have you scanned your system for malware/viruses? Tested your hard drive for errors or if its failing?

Yea :/ I have tested it with several programs, but I am pretty sure it is the harddrive. I am going to test it as soon as I can lend my friends old one. But it wont turn on right now. The checkdisk wont do anything, it just loops again and again :/ And can't turn it on in normal mode, it will get to the point where windows is loading and showing the flag, but won't continue.
But thanks for the answers :)

What's your HDD brand?

Download the diagnosis tool from your HDD manufacturer and run a diagnosis. If it comes with errors then it's your HDD.

Yup my HDD is broken, got another one from an older laptop, works fine for now, and the rest of the pc seems to be fine, thx :)
