is my motherboard strangling mc cpu??

hey guys

just a quick question about my motherboard (ASUS P5VD2-MX)
i have purchased a core2duo e6400 and im wondering how much of my cpu's potential my board is strangling?

i am in the middle of buying 2gig of pc4200 533mhz memory (not cheep stuff)
and im kinda thinking is it worth it or new board plus cheep memory?

any help is welcome

You should buy DDR2 667 at least, preferably DDR2 800. What is your budget for the RAM? It is worth dropping around $250 for a good set.

prob about £150.... but is it worth buying ram for this board or buying new board and putting less ram in it?
