is my PSU incompatible with my mobo?

hey so my new case came and i plugged everything in and tried to start it.
what happened was all the fans and leds stuff come on and spin for about 5 seconds and my psu makes a clicking sound and everything turns off and back on like a cycle

also there is nothing on my monitor i tried both vga and dvi

i am so frustrated i spent almost 1700 now and still cant get it to work
 
Did you install the brass standoffs between the case and motherboard? Try hooking everything up outside of the case. Did you hook up all the 6 pin pciexpress power connections from the power supply to the video cards? Did you also plug in the 4 pin cpu power connection?
 
there were already standoffs in the case but i also tried hooking up everything outside the case and still the same result :/ yeah 4 total power connections for 2 in each of my video cards and yep i plugged in the 4 pin processor connection
i really don't know what to do at this point
