To PC eye's credit, it does say that if al 3 are filled it's dual channel.
I believe the nForce2s used something similar to what Intel is doing now, that is to say the sum of all ram in each channel must be the same. It theoretically sould work that way with all dual channel chipsets but I haven't seen anyone test it.
