Is the 5770 Enough to Power 3 Monitors at 1920x1200?

I'm helping a friend get set up with a three-monitor system (at 1920x1200 each) using a single ATI graphics card. I suggested that a 5770 might be sufficient for him: two connected via DVI and the third connected via a Display Port to VGA adapter. I saw a comment elsewhere that suggested that you might want to go with the 5870 or even 5970 to power three monitors at that resolution. But I wonder if that's true only for gamers. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is he safe going with a 5770?

Thats fine for 2D stuff like DAW applications.

Although you will struggle at that resolution when running games.

5830 should be Ok. A single 5770 will work, but probably won't be sufficient for High-level 3D rendering, gaming, etc. Personally I would either Xfire the 5770 or get a single 5850 :)

Thanks, guys. The problem is that he has only one PCI-Express x16 slot. So he'll need to go with a single card. Sounds like the 5770 will work just fine, but I'll take a look at the 5830 and 5850.
