well, i think the title of the post says enough.
is a normal geforce 6800(LE) sli compartible (so not the GT or ultra version)

and what would be a better buy, 6600GT or 6800(LE) (whats the difference between normal and LE)

because my budget is prolly getting a bit to low for a 6800GT :(

No, you cannot use SLI with the 6800LE.

6600GT - No unlocking, but you can overclock.

6800LE - Unlocking is available for some cards, then you can also overclock.

6600GT stock might be just a tad bit better than the 6800LE stock though.

LE is just the 'Lite Edition' so its not as good as the regular 6800.

I don't think it's SLI compatable... I looked at a pic of one and didn't see the SLI connector.

I can't find much about this card otherwise... Newegg has some pretty good descriptions on the two, so just look on there, that's where I'd get my info for ya anyway :P

I did find some other forum posts asking the same question and I don't think anyone can really decide which card is better.

"Although it works, there is a drop in performance."

I wonder how much of a loss there would be... Ya know, what would the 6800LE be like if it DID have the bridge...

Yeah a performance decrease of approximately 5% does not really matter all that much to a user who would like the extra power offered by the SLI setup by using cheap cards.

we'll that just sounds rude ;) i wouldnt consider 200 euries (250$) cheap,.. though.. buying a whole new system isnt that cheap at all :(

but, thx for the input. but if i cant afford 1 6800GT, whats the better option, a 6600GT or 1 6800?

Haha...I don't know what card you are referring to but I meant the 6200 or the 6600 in an SLI setup without the bridge.
