Yes it will work, but it wont run DX 10, just DX 9L (Vista's version of DX 9).

That's good to know:) After seing what DX 10 can do in the crysis game i will wait for a card that support it.

I would get vista, but it uses 400mb of ram, (although thats about how much i have thats used by programs now... ) and I heard it will only work with certain monitors, they have to be fairly new or something... Anyone know anything about this?

Can you post the link that talk about that? Cuz if it's true i may have to buy a 7900 soon :(

I dont want to spend to much money now that i already bought an Xbox 360. And i may buy an Ps3 so...

Why would the 8000 series not come out until June 2007? That makes no sense at all especially financially. Since Vista is coming out November 2006 for Corporations, then obviously Nvidia and ATI would be able to get it and finish their R600 and G80 cards. The only reason that the cards aren't coming out this summer is because the VIsta delay. They want to use DX10 but can't until Vista is completed, or at least almost done since that's where the DX10 code will be.
I would say before Jan 2007 or a little after. Nvidia and ATI would want to sell their cards before Vista's launch to homes because that's when everyone willl be looking for a DX10 card to use.

I heard somewhere that for your pc to be compatible with Vista ALL the components must be HDCP (High Definition Copyright Protection) compliant. Even your monitor. What's that all about???
